Thirlmere Road car park was faced with a common urban dilemma – limited resident parking spaces. In partnership with Balfour Beatty Living Places, we worked together to deliver a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution.

To begin the project, our team initiated excavation work on the grass verge to establish a suitable formation. This process was essential for ensuring effective drainage on-site. The client opted for Type 3 grade stone. This choice was driven by its exceptional filtration properties, guaranteeing longevity and sustainability for the project.

We also carried out testing to ensure formation strengths, and these were all satisfactory.

Environmental criteria were a top priority throughout the project. In line with design specifications, we erected an earth bund, which served a dual purpose: containing potential contaminants and preventing vehicles from accessing the grass verge.

For this project we installed GEO Grid material with a Cotswold granite

stone to create a stunning rural/urban finish.

This innovative approach not

only provides a durable surface but is also aesthetically pleasing.

Our unwavering commitment to project management ensured that we delivered this project on time and within the budget.

The project's successful outcome, aligned with the client's vision, and they were overall very happy and satisfied with the end results.
