Micheldever Depot is an ex-asphalt plant from the 1990’s, the site had to be cleared and levelled to enable a large-scale drainage system, the site clearance uncovered multiple unexpected oil interceptors and existing structures which we were able to safely remove and dispose of to allow us to reach our deadline for opening.

The drainage system itself featured two 500,000 litre underground storage tanks using a complex crate system and a large 500,000 litre soakaway crate system, the entire system was installed at 6m below the new surface incorporating multiple new oil and fuel interceptors.

The site also needed large scale perimeter drainage to allow for a 1 in 100-year storm event.

The entire site formation had to be made up ready to receive a newly rolled concrete surface, this product had such a tight movement allowance that the entire site had to be within 20mm tolerance which we were able to achieve perfectly.

The entire site required mains utilities to allow for future buildings and offices, we installed over 1000m of utility ducting and the necessary pits to enable an easy connection without disturbing the new infrastructure.

The facility has since gone on to be featured in multiple news articles and has been highly praised by the Councillors of Hampshire County Council.
